Our Accreditations
In 2021, the business obtained its third-party ISO accreditation for its OHS, Environmental, and Quality Management Systems.
These commitments and standards are upheld across all our regions of operations.
GenOffGrid’s strategy is to have a local presence within our operating regions.
This means all our teams are locally employed, offering career paths into the renewable energy industry.
We procure within our local business communities. From our trusses to electrical supplies, logistics and PPE.
We take an active role in our community organisations and supporting events.
As a regional operator, GenOffGrid recognises the difference it can make in closing the gap with Indigenous Australians.
Offering a pathway to employment that enables them to stay regional. The majority of our apprentices are Indigenous.
In the Kimberley, we have a joint venture with leading building and construction group H&M Tracey. In the Alice Springs region, we work closely with Dynamic Solutions NT to enable training and employment pathways for local youth. Both of these businesses are long-term trusted local Indigenous businesses.
We purposely support other local and Indigenous businesses in the areas we operate in. An example is Kimberley Manufacturing Pty Ltd (KMPL), which assists with the direct build and supply of our high-quality trusses—which to date have seen procurement levels in excess of $500,000.
We collaborate with other local organisations.
GenOffGrid and its team members are active members of its local business and industry organisations. This includes working with the respective Chambers of Commerce in Broome, Karratha, Northern Territory and the East Kimberley. We support the Kimberley Pilbara Cattleman’s Association and Northern Territory Cattleman’s Association. We’re members of Territory Proud and the Energy Club NT, and also part of a coalition of organisations called Energy Transformation Association for the Kimberley focused on securing cost-efficient energy for the region.
